Value and shading P4

Value is how much light is shown on an object, for example; a light is sprayed on a sphere and the sphere now has value. The edge of the sphere that is closest to the light source has the lightest value, and the further away the other edges are, the darker their value is.

There are many different ways of creating value, for example you can shade in an object. The harder you press and the more you shade; the darker the value is. Another way of creating value is Cross Hatching. Cross Hatching is when you cross over lines. To create darker value with Cross Hatching, you need to make the lines closer together. Unlike shading, pressing harder with Cross Hatching wont create a darker value. The only Way to create darker value when Cross Hatching, is to add more lines and make the lines closer together.
